Yellow Stain On Floor Around Toilet

We have vinyl tile in our bathroom.

3 excessive adhesive bleeding through. 1 bleach and or a cleanser with bleach. 2 a floor mat with a rubber backing. Tried using baking soda with peroxide but it didn t work.

The lighter colored floor showed the yellow stain around the perimeter within 2 years of installation. The color is almost orange. On jan 2 2019. I have used clorox to clean up bleach and water and other floor cleaners but nothing has worked.

It is not linoleum or vinyl. If the toilet were leaking the stain would be either gray. A family member struggles with incontinence at times and there is a dark brown stain around the toilet. It can also look like a colored stain and appear some distance from the toilet.

While this type of stain can be small and unobtrusive it still requires attention since a slow leak can seriously degrade subflooring and wooden structural supports. Our basement was insulated and finished so that wasn t the issue in that house. For example when toilets or urinals don t flush but people still use them. Is there any way to remove the stain without damaging the tile. If you have a sheet vinyl linoleum floor the yellowing around the base of your toilet could be caused by a few things.

One powerful cleanser is water and bleach another is using rubbing alcohol over the yellow stains until they fade. I think using the bleach made it worse. My bathroom floor is turning yellow really bad by the toilet and bathtub. A common phenomenon in public toilets.

I wouldn t worry about a leaking toilet. These less obvious stains are caused by small amounts of water seeping through the floor material. It s commercial tile flooring. It s this one area that is the problem.

I think if may be due to urine feces being on the floor. Nowhere is this more problematic than in a toilet which sees a lot of use and holds standing water constantly.
